Launching PGS Portal: Important information about our new Parent Portal, and a simple how-to guide |
In a recent email, we told you that we had invested in a new parent communications portal, PGS Portal. This will be replacing MyPGS,
our existing communications portal which will be turned off on Friday 12th March. Over the last few months, we have been working
hard to implement this market-leading system to significantly enhance and improve the way we communicate with you as parents,
and share with you important information about your child(ren). We are pleased to announce that this new, secure, web-based communications portal is now ready to launch. Through PGS Portal, you now have secure, 24/7 access to personalised data about your child(ren) via one username and password. From one intuitive and simple-to-use dashboard, you can access reports and feedback, your child's lesson timetable, the school calendar, our online parents' evening portal and sports fixtures from your desktop, tablet, or smartphone. Importantly, because we have moved all personal data to a restricted, user-only portal it ensures that only the right people see the right information. Please note that the exact information associated with each pupil depends on their year group. Over the next few months we will be developing the portal to bring even more interactivity online. Access is easy and once logged in, you should find it intuitive to navigate around. The following instructions will help you to gain access to your account.
When registering to use the service, the password requirements are:
If you have already registered please go to http://portal.pgs.org.uk We are very excited about this new development in our communication with parents, which aims to keep you better informed about developments within the school and your child(ren)’s progress. As always, we thank you for your patience and cooperation in this new process. If you have any questions, suggestions or experience any difficulties, please do not hesitate to contact us.
